J&K Govt Appoints Assistant Professors in Veterinary Technology

The Government of Jammu and Kashmir’s Higher Education Department has announced the appointment of Assistant Professors in Veterinary Technology. This decision comes in light of the growing demand for skilled professionals in the field of veterinary sciences.

The appointments have been made based on the recommendations of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission (JKPSC), as per Government Order No. 82-JK(HE) of 2024, dated 20-02-2024. The selected candidates will serve on a regular temporary basis in the pay band of Rs. 15600-39100 with an AGP of Rs. 6000/- (Pre-revised) in Academic Level-10, with a pay structure of Rs. 57700/-.

The list of appointed candidates includes individuals from diverse backgrounds, reflecting the inclusive nature of the selection process. The appointees are required to report to the Nodal Principal at A.S College, Srinagar/GCW Parade, Jammu within 21 days from the issuance of the order. Failure to do so will result in the cancellation of their appointment.

The appointment of the candidates is subject to various conditions, including a probation period of two years, adherence to the New Pension Scheme, and verification of essential documents such as domicile certificates, date of birth certificates, qualification and marks certificates, category certificates, health and medical certificates, among others.

It’s noteworthy that the salary disbursement will only commence upon the receipt of satisfactory verification of the aforementioned documents. Additionally, the seniority of the candidates will be determined as per the Jammu and Kashmir Civil Services (Classification, Control & Appeal) Rules, 1956.

Furthermore, the appointments will remain provisional pending verification of certificates, and any discrepancy found during the verification process may lead to the cancellation of the appointment. The candidates are also informed that the appointment is subject to the outcome of any pending writ petitions before the Court of Law.

This move by the Government of Jammu and Kashmir underscores its commitment to strengthening the education sector and addressing the demand for specialized expertise in emerging fields like veterinary technology.
