In anticipation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming rally function at Bakshi Stadium in Srinagar on March 7th, 2024, the Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has taken the decision to postpone the annual examination for 10th standard Vocational Subjects scheduled for the same day.

The announcement came on Tuesday, as the board declared that the vocational examination slated for March 7th in soft zones would now be held on April 4th. This decision affects students preparing for subjects including agriculture, apparels, makeup and home furnishing, automotive, beauty and wellness, health care, IT & ITES, Physical Education & Sports, Plumbing/Retail, security, telecommunication, tourism and hospitality, electronics, and hardware.

The Director Academics of JKBOSE issued a notification citing “unavoidable circumstances” for the postponement. However, the board assured that examinations for all other subjects would proceed as scheduled from March 11th onwards, in accordance with the previously issued date sheet.

The rescheduling of the vocational exams aims to accommodate logistical arrangements and ensure the smooth conduct of the Prime Minister’s visit to the Kashmir Valley. Students and stakeholders are advised to stay updated with any further developments regarding examination schedules and related announcements.
