In a recent development, Sh. Umar Yousuf Dar, son of Mohamad Yousuf Dar, resident of Village Ohangam, Tehsil Beerwah, District Budgam, has been issued a notice by the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board regarding alleged tampering with documents during the verification process.
The notice states that Sh. Umar Yousuf Dar was called for document verification for the posts of Sub-Inspector in the Home Department by the J&K Services Selection Board. During the verification process, Dar submitted an Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) certificate issued by Tehsildar Beerwah, bearing No. MM/BRW/EWS/21/20 dated 27.12.2021.
However, it was later discovered that Dar had produced the same EWS certificate with altered dates through a representation with e-office receipt No. 5560 dated 27.12.23. The date of issue on the certificate was allegedly tampered with, changing it from 27.12.2021 to 24.12.2021, in an apparent attempt to meet the cut-off date for the aforementioned posts, which was 26.12.2021.

Sh. Umar Yousuf Dar has been given a period of Seven (7) days from the issuance of the notice to explain his position. He is requested to do so at the J&K Services Selection Board, either at CPO Chowk Panjtirthi, Jammu, or Zam Zam Complex, Rambagh, Srinagar, as per his convenience. Failure to provide a satisfactory explanation within the stipulated time will result in action being taken against him without further communication.
