In a recent development within the Public Works (R&B) Department, a tentative seniority list of Executive Engineers (Mechanical) degree holders has been released. The issuance comes following previous government orders and departmental decisions regarding the regularization of certain Executive Engineers.
The final seniority list of Executive Engineers (Mechanical) degree holders was initially released through Government Order No. 341-PW(R&B) of 2022 dated 28.09.2022. Subsequent to this, based on the recommendations of the Departmental Promotion Committee/JKPSC, the department regularized 31 l/c Executive Engineers (Mech) as Executive Engineers (Mechanical) via Government Order No. 441 dated 06-12-2023. This was followed by the regularization of 39 l/c Executive Engineers as Executive Engineers (Mechanical) through Govt Order No. 107-PW(R&B) of 2023 dated 15-03-2023.
The current issuance pertains to the need for a fresh seniority list of Executive Engineers (Mechanical) degree holders. Annexure “A” comprises those Executive Engineers who have been regularized as per the aforementioned government orders, while Annexure “B” includes those whose recommendation for regularization is pending due to deficient documents.
However, prior to the finalization of this list, the department has called for objections from affected members of the service. Objections, if any, are to be submitted through respective Heads of Departments within 21 days from the date of issuance of this notice. It’s emphasized that no communication will be entertained after this stipulated period.
Furthermore, it’s clarified that the information regarding date of birth and category status provided in the tentative seniority list is subject to further authentication and verification from the concerned issuing authorities. Verification from the service book/matriculation certificate of the respective officers will also be carried out for accuracy.
